Leave me a message if I am not able to answer. I will return you call as soon as possible, usually within just a few hours.
2. We will speak by phone as soon as possible.
-We will briefly discuss your reason for seeking counseling. - I may ask for a little background, and some basic identifying information (such as address, phone number, date of birth). -If you have any questions about me as a counselor or about my practice I will answer those. -This is an important conversation; we are getting a sense of whether we are a good counselor-client match. (It is a good sign when a person feels comfortable talking with me on the phone, and gets a sense that I am competent to be of service to them).
3. We agree on the fee(s) and such.
4. If you plan to use insurance, we may discuss the process necessary for submitting the claims yourself.
5. When we are agreed, we schedule an appointment.
I see clients by appointments weekday afternoon and evenings. Most clients are able to settle into an appointment time that becomes "theirs".
-I return calls Monday through Thursday in the afternoon and evening, and Friday afternoon.-I respond to calls as promptly as possible, during those hours.
-Regrettably, I am not available for emergencies.
